Go Green With Water4Gas

Water4Gas technology is so vital that there’s a full make formulating close to it that folk are extremely earnestly following. Diverse auto makers, even the likes of General Motors have eventually caught on and they are attempting to put them on the road fast.

It is extraordinarily troublesome for a Giant auto manufacturer to shift their process to a new platform. Even if they constructed a hydrogen automobile today, there would still be query on the base – refuelling stations. All these issues are being decided. Any one interested in this engineering can log on and find a large amount of info about Water4Gas books.

Bamboo – A Renewable Resource

In this day and age there are many people who are looking for ways to make renewable resources out of everything and anything.  What a lot of people do not realize is that there are many plants that are renewable resources; it is a known fact that bamboo a renewable resource is of the highest quality.  It seems that most people associate bamboo with panda bears and would not believe that there are actually a lot of different ways to use bamboo as a renewable resource instead of just panda bear food.

It is a fact that there are many different environmental ways that you can incorporate bamboo a renewable resource into your home and/or office setting, just a few small changes and you will be making your home and/or office a little bit greener and helping the environment immensely.

First, bamboo a renewable resource can be used to make all sorts of different things that we use every single day and can even replace some metal and oak things that we use because it is strong than aluminum and definitely more durable than oak.  For instance, bamboo can save tons of trees for it is a grass product and therefore grows back much faster than any tree.  This means that instead of using trees as your flooring, furniture, house construction and other wooden items you can use bamboo!

Another great thing about bamboo as a renewable resource is the fact that it not only grows extremely fast, but it offers up a great environmental benefit for us humans.  Bamboo as a plant has green leaves which can filter the air around us, providing us with excellent, clean and refreshing oxygen in return.  Bamboo a renewable resource has the ability to suck up all sorts of toxins and the carbon dioxide that we give off and turn it around into fresh air – all we need to do is keep the plant hydrated and we can reap the benefits!

It is a known fact that one stalk of bamboo can take about two months to grow back, while a tree can take years to grow back.  Think of all the trees we can save if we use bamboo in our everyday life – flooring, furniture, fishing poles, wind chimes and even paper can be constructed from bamboo a renewable resource.  Bamboo also looks very attractive so you do not have to worry that your house will not be stylish just because you are starting to go a little bit greener.

Solar Power For Homes: Go Green

Solar Power For Homes: Go Green

Many people are looking to install home solar power systems to help save the environment. While there are many forms of alternative power generation, solar is one of the most leading ways to power the home. Solar power is also is very efficient and has a proven track record among available power generation systems.
There are a variety of advantages that are associated with installing solar systems. There are financial advantages as well. The primary benefit is that you need not pay anything towards the fuel source, which is free, and it is unlimited as well. Also, the government does not tax the sun, and hence you need not pay taxes on it as well. Also, if you decide to move to another home, and choose to leave the system behind for the next owner, the value of your home goes up.
For people who are concerned for the environment, there are a lot of benefits to solar power for your home. The main benefit is that the sun is a completely renewable energy resource. No matter how much of its energy you use, the sun is not depleted. Additionally, the sun is emission free.
When you use solar power for your home, you will be able to keep your power even if there is a power outage or a natural disaster. Solar power makes it so that you are not dependent on the power company and how much power is in the energy reserves.
Try looking on the Internet for the perfect system for your home. There are many options online. Start by setting a budget before you begin looking for your system. Next you will want to look at and compare several different stores to find the best system for your needs and budget.
Any system works, but solar power for home is a really great way to save money and is also better for the environment. You will not regret installing a solar power system in your home as soon as you see the benefits.

Next 6 Tips For Going Green – Saving Water and Money

There are so many ways to Go Green it can be overwhelming.  The point is not to get overwhelmed or panicked. The key is realize that any changes you make, no matter how small, is an improvement and a step in the right direction.

Previously I talked about great ways to save money and energy with your electronics.  You can download the full report, 10 Simple Do-It-Yourself Ways To Save Money and Energy, for FREE here.

Here are a few more simple ideas you can start implementing right away that cost nothing and will start saving you money. As before, many of these ideas you have heard before, but the more you hear them the more they will sink in and the more likely you are to apply them.

These simple ideas will focus on your water usage:

1) Turn Off The Water When You Brush Your Teeth Or Shave:
There is no need to keep the water on while you brush your teeth or shave.  This one is very simple to implement.  If necessary, you can fill the sink partially with water to rinse your razor as you shave.  Here are two simple  experiments you can do to make you realize just how wasteful it is to keep the water on:
a) If you can, remove the stopper from the sink and line up the water coming out of the faucet to flow directly into the drain.  It sounds simple and obvious, but it is really a very dramatic effect.   We are used to seeing the water kind of accumulate in the sink and slowly flow out. But, if this is set up correctly, you can see how what is coming in is going straight out — that’s it, poof. In and out doing no good!
b) For this second experiment, you will do the opposite of the first experiment.  Stop up the sink.  Stop up all outlets.  See just how full your sink gets.  You will see how much water is being wasted.  (Be careful.  If you do a good job stopping it up, your sink might overflow.)

2) Use, Don’t Waste:
Find ways to use the water you would otherwise waste while waiting for it to warm up.  I collect it in glasses or a bucket and use it for my drinking water instead of bottled water (there really is no difference – especially if I filter it), I also give it to my dog and use it to water the house plants and outdoor plants.  I do not get fanatical about it.  I just do it when practical.

3) Use The Dishwasher:
Using the dishwasher to wash your dishes saves more water than washing them by hand.  However, it uses more electricity.  The key is to be judicious  about it. Before I wash the dishes scrap the excess food into the garbage.  if you need to wash some dishes by hand, use the running water while waiting for it to get hot to rinse the dishes and get the excess off. If you have a lot to rinse or wash, use the running water to fill the sink so you can reuse the water.  It is very important to load the dishwasher fully and properly.  Use the economy setting whenever possible. Turn off the drying element. Open the door when the load is done, and let it air dry.  If you are buying a new dishwasher, many of the European models do not even have a heating element, they have a special vented dry mode.

4) Fix All Drips:
A dripping faucet can waste 20 gallons of water a day. A leaking toilet can use 90,000 gallons of water in a month. Get out the wrench and change the washers on your sinks and showers, or get new washerless faucets. Keeping your existing equipment well maintained is probably the easiest and cheapest way to start saving water.

5) Take Shorter Showers:
Take shorter showers, or, as the old joke goes, shower with a friend. (Its a great way to meet new people.)

6) Harvest Your Rainwater:
Put a rain barrel on your downspouts and use this water for irrigation. Rain barrels come in all shapes and sizes ranging from larger underground systems to smaller, freestanding ones.  This is a fun easy way to see how effective your efforts can be!

To put things in perspective, take a quick look at your previous water bills. The average household consumes multiple thousands of gallons each month. See if you can make this number go down. Graph your results over time.  (This is a great way to teach your kids.)

Cultivate good water habits. All the water that goes down the drain, clean or dirty, ends up mixing with raw sewage, getting contaminated, and meeting the same fate. Try to stay aware of this precious resource disappearing.

Plug-n-play Solar Chargers – How They Work

With the recent introduction of plug-n-play solar chargers into the market, solar power is within the reach of just about anyone. You no longer have to be a tech savvy “do-it-yourself-er” in order to harness solar power.

You can learn about the specific types of Plug ‘n Play solar chargers available, and where to find them, at Plug-n-Play Solar Chargers

But what exactly are plug-n-play solar chargers? They are usually simple sets of solar panels combined with battery packs, which is sold as a unit. It is capable of collecting solar energy and storing it in a battery. That’s all there is to it.

The feature that makes this type of set-up so useful is that you can use it to power or recharge your electrical devices, laptops, power tools, radios or even TVs, from the battery pack. The solar power and battery pack are sold together, so you don’t have to worry about compatibility, cables, watts or voltages, or any of that. And you don’t have to wonder whether the setup will work or not.

By using the battery pack, instead of trying to power your equipment directly from a solar panel, you ensure that you have a steady flow of power or electricity flowing into your equipment. Even on a sunny day there can always be some clouds. When they move in front of the sun it there would be a decrease of solar energy being picked up by the panels, which would momentarily reduce the amount of electricity being produced by your solar charger. But if your equipment is connected to a battery pack (which is in turn connected to a solar panel) the battery would take up the momentary slack in solar energy.

There are other advantages to using a plug-n-play solar charger kit, besides its steady flow of electricity. Because of the fact that the solar panels charge the battery pack, you will be able to make use of solar energy at any time, night or day, regardless of weather conditions or available sunlight. You simply make sure the solar charger is charging during daylight hours. You then use the battery to charge your laptop, cell-phone, iPod (or whatever else you need to charge) during the night, while you are sleeping.

Many people think solar panels and solar chargers only work in hot climates. Not true. Solar panels collect solar energy far more efficiently when they are cold. Thus, they actually operate more efficiently in colder temperatures. This fact makes them perfectly suitable for just about any climate. All you need is daylight.

There are some factors you have to take into account with such a solar charger setup:

1. Whether or not the battery pack is capable of powering the device you want to power

2. How long it takes for the solar panel to fully charge your battery pack.

Once you know that, you can decide whether you have found the right solar charger setup for you or not.

There are now a wide variety of ready-to-go, plug-n-play solar charger systems and do-it-yourself packages available, to suit anyone’s needs. They are used for small portable power units, cell phones, camera batteries, iPods, and laptops, etc. They are also used for larger systems which give remote or emergency power for AC and DC appliances such as radios, small TVs, cabin lighting and much, much more.

Plug-n-play devices and do-it-yourself kits are a great way to get started using solar energy at an affordable price. They bypass the need for advanced knowledge in electronics, and keep things simple.
